There are some key ways SDS is working towards evolving our range and our behaviours to support the environment. 

We acknowledge the issue of being environmentally responsible is also important to our customers. Never before has there been so much emphasis on environmental issues. SDS is committed to doing the “right thing”.

Here’s how:

We encourage our suppliers to put forward all new environmentally friendly products for consideration and inclusion in our range. But that’s not all. Where a supplier nominates their product to be compliant with any environmental standard, we seek evidence of the claim and ‘mark it as an environmentally friendly product’.

We encourage our staff to think about all aspects of the environment. The SDS Environmental committee was formed in 2005 as part of our commitment to protect the environment for a sustainable future. The committee encompasses representatives from all sections of SDS and offers advice to our business.

We encourage our customers to think about purchasing eco friendly products by promoting the facts and benefits about these products and providing excellent pricing. Green doesn’t have to mean expensive.
